I dont want to make this blog about me or my own opinions,I want to allow you to open up and share your hearts. So on that note i want to post a question to all , Why are so many people having a hard time with prophetic word, or prophets?
Well, I guess the question is not why people have problems with prophesy, but rather why people have problems with Prophets. The Bible makes it clear that a prophet is someone who speaks on God’s behalf to the people and there is no inaccuracy in his words. When the prophets of old got their message from God, it was perfect, free from any error. They spoke confidently knowing that what they said God would bring to pass. Today that is not the case. Many so call "Prophets" use prophesy to manipulate and control Gods people into doing their own will. Many Pastors, Preachers, Evangelist and so on, have used prophesy as a crutch to attain their own agenda, i.e.: TV shows, radio show, houses, cars, money… We have been so deceived into thinking that they are the ONLY way we can hear from God. And because we don’t bother to seek Gods face, we fall into deception. (I am speaking to self here!)
We have to know the real from the counterfeit, and for some of us, it is hard to discern when the very people that God chose to bestow his gifts uses them to distort, influence and deceit. The problem is that then comes a man (woman) of God with a true word from God and many of us will miss it because we have been so hurt by these false prophets.
The word of God has been so prostituted that the only way to know weather or not a word is from God is to: 1) Have an intimate relationship with God and seek his face daily, and 2) Test ALL spirits! There is no other way about it.
Matthew 18: 6-7 If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were drowned in the depths of the sea. 7 Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!
